Join us for the Nike Soccer Camp at Franklin Pierce University, one of the nation’s most prestigious and historically successful collegiate soccer programs. Led by Men’s Head Coach Diego Thielen, this camp offers an exceptional opportunity to train in an elite environment shaped by championship standards and a tradition of excellence.

Coach Thielen and his experienced staff create a high‑energy, competitive, and supportive atmosphere where players can elevate their technical ability, strengthen tactical understanding, and push their game to the next level.

Each session is designed to foster growth, confidence, and development while delivering the full Nike Soccer Camp experience. Campers will learn from top‑level collegiate coaches, challenge themselves daily, and enjoy an unforgettable week of learning, intensity, and fun.

    Diego Thielen

    Head Coach & Camp Director

    A leader in coaching excellence and a dedicated developer of talent, Diego Thielen serves as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Franklin Pierce University, one of the nation’s most successful and prestigious collegiate programs. Known for his passion for player development and his ability to bring out the best in every athlete he works with, Thielen creates an environment built on growth, discipline, and high‑level performance.

    Diego Thielen

    Head Coach & Camp Director

    Thielen joined Franklin Pierce after two standout seasons as a volunteer assistant at Lenoir‑Rhyne University, where he helped guide the Bears to back‑to‑back NCAA National Tournament appearances (2021, 2022) and a South Atlantic Conference Championship in 2022. He also expanded his coaching experience at the semi‑professional level, spending the spring and summer of 2022 as an assistant coach with USL League Two’s Otters FC.

    Before Lenoir‑Rhyne, Thielen served as a graduate assistant at Ohio Valley University, helping lead the program to an 18th national ranking, a Division II Sweet Sixteen appearance, and the most successful season in school history during spring 2021. That year, the Fighting Scots won both the regular season and conference tournament titles, achieved a program‑best No. 3 national ranking, and earned Midwest Region Staff of the Year honors from United Soccer Coaches.

    As a player, Thielen spent four seasons competing for Ohio Valley, earning GMAC All‑Freshman Team and All‑ECAC Second Team honors while contributing to the 2017 GMAC Championship and 2018 Midwest Region Championship teams. He graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management and Business Administration.

    A native of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Thielen is a graduate of Colegio Andrés Eloy Blanco and spent five seasons competing for Club Deportivo Lara. His international playing background, championship‑level coaching experience, and unwavering commitment to developing young athletes continue to elevate everyone who trains under his leadership.

    Diego Montoya

    Assistant Coach

    Diego Montoya brings energy, discipline, and a sharp coaching mindset to the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer staff. Known for his exceptional work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to player development, Montoya plays a key role in shaping the high‑performance training environment the program is known for.

    Assistant Coach

    A standout goalkeeper during his playing career with the Franklin Pierce men’s team, Montoya established himself as a reliable leader on and off the field. His understanding of the program’s championship standards, paired with his firsthand experience competing at the collegiate level, allows him to mentor athletes with insight, clarity, and a true player‑centered approach.

    Originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, Montoya brings an international perspective and deep passion for the game. His technical expertise and his ability to connect with players make him an invaluable part of the coaching staff and the growth of every athlete who trains under him.

You can expect high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

  • Camp Dates:

    • June 22-26, 2026 (Mon-Fri)

    • July 7-10, 2026 (Tues-Fri)

  • Ages: 7-14

  • Gender: Coed

  • Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Half Day & 9:00am - 3:00pm Full Day* (Camp ends at 12pm on Friday for all campers)

  • Check-In & Out Location: Franklin Pierce University
  • Meals: Lunch is NOT included. Please send your camper with a packed lunch

*Check-in starts 15 minutes before camp start time

Nike Soccer Camps provide a fun and challenging environment where players are grouped by age and ability to maximize development. Guided by experienced coaches, campers sharpen their technical skills through focused training, dynamic drills, and small-sided games, building confidence and a lifelong passion for the game.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from Christine Silva and her talented coaching staff

  • Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

  • Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.

  • Facility: Franklin Pierce University

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Athletic clothing

  • Small gym bag/backpack

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
