Coach Frankie Nunes and Nike Soccer Camps are excited to host this camp in Metuchen, NJ for boys and girls ages 6-16. Throughout the week coaches will implement a progressive curriculum focused on fun and skill development so each camper leaves the week having improved as a soccer player, tons of fun, and met new friends.

    Coach Frankie, a full-time staff member at Competitive Soccer Academy, brings over 15 years of youth coaching experience to the table.

    Before joining Competitive Soccer Academy, Nunes worked as part of Fc Copa/SFL and CFS/STS training & goalkeeping programs where he was involved in developing young soccer players throughout the tri-state area. During his own youth career, Nunes competed for Club Teams, Union Lancers & Ironbound Strikers, where he traveled to Canada & Portugal to experience international competition. Nunes played four years of varsity soccer at Roselle Catholic High School where he earned all-conference/all-county/all state Honorable Mention Awards. Following High School, Nunes had offers to go to Rider University & Ramapo but at the same time also had several professional offers to play for Alianza Lima in Peru, and Deportivo Quito in Ecuador. He ultimately decided to take his talents to Portugal to play for Ovarense FC. After turning down offers for Chaves FC & Beira Mar, he returned to The US and Played Semi Pro for MetroStars “B” & Sport Club Portuguese. Coach Frankie currently holds the USSF F license.

Nike Soccer Camps provide a fun and challenging environment where players are grouped by age and ability to maximize development. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers sharpen their technical skills through focused training, small-sided games, and dynamic drills—building confidence and a passion for the game along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from Frankie Nunes and his coaching staff
  • Day campers: Lunch is NOT provided
  • Supervision: Staff members strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes and a water bottle.
  • Facility: Metuchen SportsPlex
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Small gym bag/backpack

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
