Join us for an amazing week of camp at Nike Soccer Camp at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Team up with Mount St. Mary's Men's Head Coach Brett Teach for the ultimate soccer training camp! With a mix of traditional and modern soccer coaching methodologies, the curriculum is one that allows every camper the opportunity to continue to progress to a higher level of soccer play.

Campers will experience the life of a D1 athlete under Coach Teach and his staff. Teach has coached over 200 professional players including 3 USA World Cup Participants as well as 30 full national team players from Iceland, Chille, Uruguay, Guatemala, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Trinidad and Botswana. Teach also mentored 4 first round MLS pics and was the 2000 NAIA National Coach of the year along with winning a staggering 10 conference championships.

Head Coach Brett Teach

30-plus year veteran of the college soccer coaching circuit Brett Teach has been tabbed as the seventh head coach for Mount St. Mary's men's soccer. A 10-time conference coach of the year and the 2000 United Soccer Coaches NAIA Coach of the Year, the position is Teach's sixth venture as a head coach between NCAA and NAIA institutions.

"I would like to thank Brad Davis, Justine Miller, and Dr. Tim Trainor for trusting me to lead the next era on soccer at the Mount. From the first conversations I had with Brad and Justine, to the infectious enthusiasm I felt during my visit, I knew this was the opportunity I have been looking for. Most importantly, I would like to thank my family and friends for the support they have shown me throughout my career. I cannot wait to get started!"

Teach has served as an assistant coach for the VCU Rams since 2010, working under coach Dave Giffard, this past year's recipient of Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. Over the last 14 years in Richmond, the Rams won 116 matches, were ranked as high as ninth in the country, and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. Last season, the team won the A10 Regular Season title, going 5-1-2 in conference play.

Under Teach and the staff's guidance, VCU garnered 63 all-conference honors, including 21 First Team recognitions, and five major conference award winners. Seven athletes were selected in the MLS SuperDraft, with three – Dennis Castillo, Kharlton Belmar, and Jason Johnson – earning experience with MLS clubs.

I got to experience life at the top of Division I and the daily work in growth it takes to be successful at that level. I will always be grateful for the way my family and I have been embraced by the Richmond soccer community."

Before arriving in Richmond, Teach served as a head coach for schools in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, accumulating 268 victories. At the Division I level he worked at Georgia State from 1994-2000, giving the Panthers their first NCAA Tournament appearance by virtue of winning the 1997 Trans America Athletic Conference (now ASUN) Championship. When hired in 1994, Teach was the youngest head coach of a Division I program.

His most recent head coaching job was at Tusculum from 2007-2009, winning the conference each season and making it to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II Soccer Championship in 2008. Additional stops include Auburn University Montgomery, winning 139 matches from 2000-07, and stops at Oglethorpe University and La Grange College at the beginning of his career. Across his NAIA positions, he has coached teams to four national finals, five semifinals, and eight quarterfinals. In each of his seasons at AUM, Teach received at least one Coach of the Year recognition, including a NSCAA/Adidas NAIA National Coach of the Year Award in 2000. Teach also coached women's programs at several junctions, posting over 100 wins in the female game while running both teams simultaneously.

Alongside collegiate tenure, Teach has decades of experience for clubs and development programs. He serves as a teacher for United Soccer Coaches, helping prospective mentors earn licenses, and from 1987-2010, he served as a staff coach for Region III of the Olympic Development Program. Further positions include Capital City Streaks Soccer Club, Metro North Soccer Association, Stone Mountain Soccer and Teaching Soccer Inc.

Teach is a 1986 graduate of King University in Tennessee, where he played goalkeeper for the Tornadoes and was inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. Auburn University Montgomery inducted him as a coach in 2013.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

Instruction: Training from the Mount St. Mary's coaching staff.
Meals & Housing: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
Supervision: Staff members reside in rooms strategically placed throughout the dorm to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt and a chance to win prizes

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
Facility: Mount St. Mary's University
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

EXTENDED DAY INFORMATION

Day Camp Hours: 9:00am-7:30pm
Daily Check-In & out: Mount St. Mary's University
Meals: Lunch is provided for Day Campers. Lunch & Dinner is provided for Extended Day Campers
A closing ceremony will take place approximately 30 minutes prior to camp check-out on the last day. Parents are invited to attend! Departure immediately follows the closing ceremony.

Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-3: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 4: Breakfast

Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual, If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
Linens: Not provided. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel
Air Conditioning: Yes, AC is available in dorms

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out before camp. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. please fill out the Team Discount - Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
