Head Coach | P4SA Co-Owner Albert Portas
Albert Portas brings a wealth of international experience as both a player and coach, grounded in one of the most respected youth soccer systems in the world. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Albert began playing soccer at the age of six and spent seven years developing at FC Barcelona’s youth academy. There, he trained alongside players such as Ansu Fati, Sergio Gómez, and Takefusa Kubo—an experience that shaped his understanding of elite-level training and player development.

Head Coach | P4SA Co-Owner Carlos Portas
Carlos Portas is a highly qualified coach and former professional player with a strong foundation in Spanish and American soccer. A native of Barcelona, Spain, Carlos came through the youth systems of elite clubs including FC Barcelona, FC Damm, and UE Cornellà. He continued his playing career in the U.S. at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), competing at the NCAA Division 1 level while earning a degree in Business Management.

P4SA’s methodology focuses on the 4 P’s and was inspired by La Masia’s strategic approach to training. These key focuses are endorsed by Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez as key areas young players should develop as they advance to higher levels of play
- Possession means having control of the ball to move forward and defend, taking the lead away from the other team.
- Pressure is about quickly getting the ball back.
- Position refers to being well-placed with sufficient space and time to optimally perform actions.
- Perception means being able to see teammates, opponents, our team, and the other side, and knowing when to act and when not to.
CAMP INFO:
This program is geared towards Player Development & High-Performance campers. Players will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!

- Supervision: Staff members strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
- Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
- Facility: Northeast Regional Park
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.
- Athletic clothing
- Soccer Cleats (no metal studs)

SOCCER BALLS
Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out once the order has processed. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
