Join our summer volleyball camp in the Las Vegas area, where players have the opportunity to work on fundamentals, develop proper mechanics, and gain valuable game play experience! Campers will train with 3-time Olympian and Texas Sports Hall of Famer, Stacy Sykora.

This Nevada volleyball camp provides a fun and encouraging environment where campers will refine their skills and make new friends! Players, ages 10-17, will leave this summer camp feeling more confident and prepared for their upcoming fall season!

CAMP OPTIONS

Please note: Camp schedules and details may be subject to change. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CAMPS
  • Session I: July 5-7
  • Session II: July 24-26
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 10-16
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm each day of camp
  • Check-in: 8:30am on first day
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on the last day
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch to camp each day.
  • Programs:
    • This Beginner program will teach beginner level appropriate skills and techniques. Campers (ages 10-16) will be instructed on all aspects of the game and leave camp with a proper understanding that will lay the foundation for future growth in volleyball. Recommended for young players with no prior experience or less than a year of experience.
    • This Intermediate program is designed for intermediate level players (ages 10-16) looking to improve in all aspects of the game. Campers will receive instruction on all volleyball skills; attacking, setting, passing, defense, serving, and blocking in a variety of individual, small group and team settings. Recommended for players with about 1 year of competitive experience.
ADVANCED CAMPS
  • Session I: July 10-13
  • Session II: July 17-20
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 12-17
  • Daily Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-in: 8:30am on Monday
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on Thursday
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch to camp each day.
  • Program: This Advanced program is is geared toward high school and club-level players (ages 12-17) with 2-3 years of competitive experience. This intense, challenging program stresses position play, advanced team techniques, physical conditioning, and a higher level of competitive play. Campers will receive elite instruction that will elevate and refine their technique and take their skills to the next level.
POSITION SPECIALTY CLINICS
  • Session I: July 14 (Hitter/Blocker)
  • Session II: July 27 (Hitter/Blocker)
  • Session III: July 28 (Setter)
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 10-17
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-in: 8:30am
  • Check-out: 3:00pm
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch to camp each day.
  • Programs:
    • This Hitter/Blocker clinic is designed to elevate hitting and blocking fundamentals for Outside, Middle and Right Side Hitters! Campers will focus on footwork, body positioning, arm swing and decision making in the front row. Campers will learn how to improve their game at the net through demonstrations, drill work, and high repetitions. Recommended for players of all abilities.
    • This Setter clinic is geared towards setters looking to receive specialized training on setting technique, communication, reading the defense, and more. Campers will learn how to improve their technique through drill work, challenging games, demonstrations, and maximum repetitions.
AM SERVING CLINIC
  • Date: July 21
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 10-17
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-11:30am
  • Check-in: 15 minutes before the start time
  • Check-out: Immediately after each session
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Campers who are attending both the morning session & afternoon session on July 21 can bring a lunch to camp and will be supervised by camp staff between clinics.
  • Program: This Serving clinic is designed for players to improve the effectiveness and consistency of their serve. This 2.5 hour clinic focuses solely on the various mechanics of overhand standing and jump serves. Campers will leave as more confident, knowledgeable, and skilled servers. Recommended for all players and positions.
PM LIBERO/DEFENSE CLINIC
  • Date: July 21
  • Gender/Ages: Girls, Ages 10-17
  • Daily Hours: 12:30pm-3:00pm
  • Check-in: 15 minutes before the start time
  • Check-out: Immediately after each session
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Campers who are attending both the morning session & afternoon session on July 21 can bring a lunch to camp and will be supervised by camp staff between clinics.
  • Program: This Libero/Defense clinic is designed to teach and improve ball control on defense and serve receive. Learn from TEAM USA's first ever Libero, Stacy Sykora, who will teach you consistent and effective passing technique. Campers will become better backrow players through drillwork, challenging games, demonstrations, and maximum repetitions. Recommended for players of all abilities and positions.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:

There is currently construction taking place at Durango near the main gym gates. Please park in the large parking lot on the south side of the school and enter through the main office gates (southwest side of the building). Once you enter the purple gates on the southwest side of the building, head east through the courtyard towards the gym. Once you pass through another set of purple gates, enter the gym foyer through the doors on the right (south) side.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Lunch: Please bring a sack lunch to camp each day. Lunch is not provided.
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Volleyball Camps t-shirt and prizes. *1-day clinics excluded.
  • Volleyballs: Volleyballs are provided for instruction during camp. Campers may purchase a Camp Volleyball at the time of registration, which will be given out on the last day of camp. Fun tip: Have your camp friends sign your ball before you leave!

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own kneepads and have at least one pair of well-broken-in volleyball (court) shoes. Campers do not need to bring their own ball.
  • Facility: Durango High School indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Our camp will have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

  • Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of eight or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during check out. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Absolutely! Campers are encouraged to attend multiple sessions. Each program delivers something unique to help players excel in all areas of the game. Many campers will attend more than one session to further refine their skills, compete against new players, or choose a session with a different program focus.
